Deep Learning for all

Department of Computer Science
Deep Learning for all is a hands-on workshop format to give students of all majors the
opportunity to try out Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in an applied setting.
Workshop participants train a deep learning system to perform typical AI tasks such as
classification of images, learning of correlations in large data sets, or predictions on time series.
California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), in San Luis Obispo, CA has developed this
format using cloud- and browser-based technologies. Thus, everyone can experiment with AI and
learn about the digital transformation and its technologies in a web-browser.
A Cal Poly professor and a group of visiting students will teach and share the ‘Deep Learning for
all’ workshop at Munich University of Applied Sciences.
