The proposed research project aims at the simulation of the time-, stress- and temperature-dependent long-term deformation behavior of polymeric materials. Extrapolation strategies are to be developed and compared, which are used for an economic calculation of important values like the creep modulus or the simulation of isochronous stress-strain-diagrams. The models developed are also the basis for the determination of thermo-mechanical application limits of polymeric materials. So the overdimensioning of long-term loaded parts in practice should be avoided. This leads to shorter measurement-times and better utilization of material properties and so this research results in higher competitive capacity.
